Greetings backers!
As part of fulfillment, Adventure Kit: The Battle for Arctor's Vault will include a gazetteer of the surrounding world - Enchea. We don't feel this can be done justice without a complete map of the world, and Nate of WASD20 is going to help us take this process to the next level!
Nate is not only an excellent mapmaker, brilliant streamer, and vital TTRPG personality in our community, but he's also my good friend! So please join us tomorrow (Wednesday, 6/15 at 7pm ET) as we hang out, have fun, and draw maps.
UPDATE - Page Elements, Colonel Frill WIP, and a Bright Summer Ahead!

Hey Backers!
Back at you with another update, and this one coming after the always-busy month of April. I hope you're not drowning in all the pain-points that come with Tax Day and any of its adjacent mandates. I, for one, am happy to be back and working in the creative domain!
So on that note, let's show you what we've got!
Page Elements in the Works!
This book takes Adventure Kits to their next level, proving what they're truly capable of, and I'm ecstatic for you to see what I mean! One such instance is that The Battle for Arctor's Vault, by-and-large, contains more text per individual section than the previous two AKs. We're keeping word count limited enough to keep this book "lean, mean, and ready to run on the fly," but we're also keen on expanding the information found on the page.
Aleks Kostic is a brilliant artist that has done so much work for Absolute Tabletop (including the amazing cover of this book!), and one such task has been the page elements for the last two Adventure Kits. He's doing the same amazing treatment for this one, and by working iteratively with him via sketches and samples, we can ensure the book contains beautiful assets that don't take up too much of the page from the content.
Here's an example of one such sketch:
Ironoak Hill: One of The Battle for Arctor's Vault's vibrant, breathing locations.
We still have some tweaking to do on where the text sits on the page, but as you can see, Aleks is already showing us the wild Amelian Orchards through an abstract, yet extremely telling, bit of beautiful page artwork. Leaning into this direction will give us more room on the page for text and other art.
Frill's WIP!
Our artists are back at it, and now we're developing the designated protector of Adrienne Pass, Colonel Frill. He's a staunch advocate for peace, but understands that the orchards grow more violent with each passing day - and that's time he doesn't have to surrender.
Colonel Frill (Work in Progress!)
Note from Barker: This is one of my favorite first sketches, because it's so accurate to what I'm looking for, with some minor tweaks here and there. Chief of those changes being that, while we're very forward-thinking when it comes to the technological levels of Enchea, a flashlight seems too on the nose after seeing it on the page. Far more likely for Frill to have an Archemist's Gauntlet he's using to cast Light on the map, or perhaps even a mundane lantern. Either way, we'll have the PHENOMENONAL Tina Terranova continue on this piece for the future!
Moving Forward!
I'm very excited about this summer. Absolute Tabletop is getting Ironsworn: Starforged out the door for the backers to that Kickstarter, allowing me to personally ensure the next three months encompass the prized final stretch for the writing in The Battle for Arctor's Vault. As this process continues, the world of Enchea takes evolving shape, paving the way for our World of Enchea Livestream, as well as clips from the Enchea Gazetteer! Stay tuned for all of this!
Thanks for everything!

Absolute Tabletop Ceres Playthrough Tomorrow!
Starting at 4pm ET tomorrow (Friday, February 17), Matt Click, Tim Kearney, and I will be using the current base rules of the narrative storytelling game currently known as Ceres to fight a cooperative battle together!
We'll kick off the stream with about five minutes of introduction, play the game for about 45 minutes, then use the final minutes for Q&A! This is a great chance to take a look at what we're working on, and contribute your thoughts to the system's progress and potential! So please join us via the link below tomorrow at 4pm ET!
